Barrios Technology Selects 2019 EMY Award Winner
Houston, TX: Barrios Technology recently selected Reynaldo Rodriguez for the 2019 Emy Award. The Emy Award, named for Barrios’ founder Emrye Barrios Robinson, recognizes an employee who has contributed beyond the workplace in service to the community. Rodriguez was awarded the 2019 Emy Award for his dedication and commitment to the Kolbe Prison Ministry.
The Kolbe Prison Ministry conducts spiritual retreats in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison system throughout the state. Rodriguez is a founding member of the Kolbe Houston Mission Team which began in 2015 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Community in Houston, Texas. Rodriguez currently serves on the advisory board Core Team and has served as the Communications Director, Retreat Director, Retreat Speaker, and Cook Team Member in the past.
Rodriguez’s team conducts roughly 2 retreats a year at 5 different prisons located near Tennessee Colony, Texas. At each retreat, a team of 15 to 20 men bring learning and understanding of the Catholic faith to 66 inmates.
Kolbe Prison Ministries is a Catholic organization founded in 2009 in Fredericksburg, Texas. KPM ministers to incarcerated men and women in federal, state, and county prisons, jails, and other incarceration facilities.
